From the time of its inception, Penev & Partners has continuously been engaged as legal counsel to some of Bulgarias largest and most significant privatisation deals. Our experience extends to virtually all business sectors, including but not limited to telecommunications, light and heavy industry, trade, utilities, mining, transportation, and healthcare. We have experience representing both buyers and sellers in preparing and structuring offers, conducting negotiations, and implementing policies during the post privatisation period.
Penev & Partners advised Deutsche Telekom on the privatisation of the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company. The firm advised Titan Cement Company in its participation in the privatisation of the production facilities of the Bulgarian cement industry. Jointly with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Penev & Partners Law Offices advised the Government in the structuring of the privatisation procedure and produced the legal analyses and related contractual documentation for the privatisation of the largest pool of the governmental pool privatisation program - the Balkancar Holding and its 18 subsidiaries. Our law firm has significant experience in conducting research and preparation of due diligence reports on local companies for the needs of its clients.
Penev & Partners advised Enel S.p.A. on the privatization of three of the largest thermal power plants in Bulgaria – TPP Varna, TPP Rousse and TPP Bobov Dol. Further, we have participated in the privatization of the national film centre – Boyana Film by providing legal advice to Bavaria Film.
In addition, we have recently advised York Capital Management on the privatization tender for the Bulgarian national air carrier Bulgaria Air conducted by the Privatisation Agency.
